SARASWATI DAY
Dewi Saraswati is generally referred to as Goddess of 'Science & Knowledge'. To honor her, Balinese people celebrate Saraswati day. On celebration, offerings are made for books, computers and other important written materials as symbols of science and knowledge. At the schools and universities the students pray for success with their studies and at office the office staffs pray for gratitude of implementing the knowledge for success in job. During Saraswati Day it is not allowed to read and write, in honor of the -function- of books and language which enables mankind to pass on the knowledge leading to success.
